A simple analogy of a person consuming contaminated water may be used to illustrate adware/spyware. A supply of water may be crystal clear; free of obvious contaminates, odors or flavors, and initially seem harmless. Only some time later is the threat to health revealed. A simple drink of water may lead to not only an unpleasant physical reaction, but has allowed some really nasty little “visitors” to move in permanently.
